Add a Service
ServiceVisit lets you add a service to your catalog, the list of what you sell. You would add one when you want a type of work to be bookable without anyone re-entering the same details each time.
A new service is defined once, and every Job booked from it inherits its settings, including the type of work, the work plan and the duration. A new service starts unpublished, so customers do not see it until you decide to publish it.
When you create a Job, you can start from one of these services and the Job takes the service's name, instead of typing a title yourself. That is how the catalog connects to intake and to the Work Orders that follow.
Changing a service later and publishing it are separate actions.
The same permission lets you build what you sell beyond single services. You can create a plan offering, which a customer pays for each billing period, or a package offering, which a customer prepays. Each is built from benefits such as included visits, discounts, fee waivers, a money or labor-hours allowance, materials, scheduling priority, support access and warranty extensions, and each starts as an unpublished draft.
You can also create an agreement, which holds the terms a customer accepts, and prepare a proposal, which offers one plan or package to one customer at a price and sales tax worked out for the service address.
