Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 25, 2026 Last updated: June 25, 2026
ServiceVisit Technologies, LLC ("ServiceVisit," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our websites, applications, and related services (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Account and profile data — name, email address, phone number, password, and role (Homeowner or Service Provider).
- Property and service data — property addresses, systems and assets, service records, documents, photos, and warranty information you add to a Digital Home Passport.
- Service Provider data — business details, service areas, licensing and insurance information, and ratings or reviews.
- Communications — messages you send to us, to Service Providers, or to Homeowners through the Platform.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, features used, IP address, browser and device type, and similar diagnostic information collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Information from third parties:
- Payment information — payment-card transactions are processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive limited details such as a confirmation and the last four digits of a card; we do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Platform, including the Digital Home Passport;
- connect Homeowners with Service Providers and facilitate communication;
- create and verify service records and attestations;
- process subscriptions and payments;
- send service-related and, where permitted, marketing communications;
- personalize content, analyze usage, and improve the Platform;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. How we share information
We share information:
- Between Homeowners and Service Providers — to enable discovery, service requests, and the documentation of work performed on a property.
- With service providers and processors — vendors who host our infrastructure, process payments, send communications, or provide analytics, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of ServiceVisit, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Note that service records and attestations within a Digital Home Passport are designed to be durable and may persist as part of a property's verified history even after an individual account is closed.
6. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of marketing. You can update much of your information in your account settings, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages. To exercise other rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Children's privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International data transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.
10. Third-party links
The Platform may link to third-party sites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those sites; review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Platform or by other reasonable means. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
