Exporting Report Data to CSV

You can download the numbers behind your Overview report as a CSV file and open them in a spreadsheet. Use it to sort the figures your own way, keep a record, or share them with your bookkeeper or a partner. Exporting is part of Advanced reporting, which is included on the Growth and Scale plans.

Before you start

  • Your plan must include Advanced reporting.
  • Your role must be given export access. Viewing reports is a separate right, so someone can see Overview and still have no export button.
  • Exports cover only your own business's data.

Steps

  1. Open Reports in the sidebar and choose Overview.
  2. Use the date range selector to choose Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days or Last 90 Days. The export covers the same dates that the page is showing.
  3. Select Export CSV next to the date range.
  4. Your browser downloads a file named with your business identifier and the start and end dates, ending in .csv.
  5. Open the file in a spreadsheet program.

Tips

  • Pick the range first. The file does not change after it is downloaded, so choose a new range and export again for a different period.
  • If you share the file, remember it contains your business figures. Send it only to people who should see them.
  • The Advanced Analytics page, found under Reports, has its own Export CSV button that builds a file in your browser from the figures on that page for the period you chose.

If something goes wrong

  • If you do not see Export CSV, your role has not been given export access. Ask the person who manages users in your business to add it.
  • If Overview itself is missing, you do not have the right to view reports.
  • If the download does not start, check that your browser is not blocking downloads from the site, then try again.
  • If you see a message that the analytics could not be loaded, the page has no figures to export. Refresh and try again.
