Draft findings from notes

While a technician records the outcome of an assessment, they can type their findings as free text and ask Walter, ServiceVisit's AI assistant, to read those notes. Walter proposes structured findings from the narrative: observations, measurements, and equipment nameplate details. The technician uses the Draft from notes button to ask for it, and it is optional, so an assessment can be completed without it.

Nothing is saved when Walter proposes. Each proposal is shown for review, and the technician chooses whether to accept it or dismiss it. Accepting one fills the matching rows in the capture form, which the technician can still edit or remove. The written notes themselves are left as the technician wrote them. The summary field is filled from a proposal only if it is still blank.

The outcome is saved only when the technician saves the form. A finding that came from an accepted proposal is recorded as Walter-drafted and person-confirmed, so it can be told apart from one typed in by hand.
