Override quality rules on a Work Order

Sometimes one Work Order cannot meet the documentation rules that come from its template. A Quality Rule Overrides drawer on the Work Order page lets you relax specific rules for that Work Order alone, without changing the template. The drawer lists the rules that have been relaxed, the reason given, any notes, who created the override and when.

When you create an override you give a reason, and you can add notes. If an override is already active, creating another replaces it. You can also revoke the active override, and the standard rules apply to the Work Order once more.

The drawer also lets you view the system rules, which show what can and cannot be relaxed, and it shows an audit history of changes to the Work Order's overrides. Template-wide rules are managed separately.
