Receive Stock
ServiceVisit lets you record stock arriving at one of your locations. You would use it when a delivery comes in or when you add parts to a shelf or a vehicle, so that the quantity on hand matches what you physically have.
You choose the catalog item, the location it is going into and the quantity, which must be greater than zero. ServiceVisit adds that quantity to the on-hand balance for the item at that location and writes a Receive movement to the ledger. The location and the item must already exist for your business.
Receiving is the usual way stock first appears. Once it is on hand you can transfer it between locations, reserve it for a work order, consume it on a job, or correct it after a count. Each of those is a separate action.
