Transfer Stock Between Locations
ServiceVisit lets you move stock from one of your locations to another. You would use it when you restock a vehicle from the warehouse, or move parts between your shop and a technician's truck, so that each location shows what it really holds.
You choose the item, the location it is leaving, the location it is going to, and the quantity. The two locations must be different, and the quantity must be greater than zero. The source location needs enough available stock, which means on hand minus anything already reserved. If it does not, the transfer is refused.
When it goes through, ServiceVisit takes the quantity off the source balance, adds it to the destination balance, and writes a single Transfer movement to the ledger. Total stock does not change, only where it sits.
